He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Burgess; his siblings, Arthur (late Rollande), Arnold (late Lillian), Loretta Fobert (late Morgan), Freida Kaddie (late Harvey), Marjorie Grady (late Hubert), Ida Lalonde (late Gordon) and Walter; and his parents, Walter Burgess and Mary Burgess.

He is survived by: his child Carolin McCourt (John); and his siblings-in-law, Alice Ferguson (Jack), Gilbert Maxwell (Heather) and Betty Burgess. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
