He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Erica; his siblings, John (April), David (Betty) and Marlene (Pete); and his parents, Henry Lafave and Susan Lafave.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lafave; his children, Fredrick Lafave, Bonnie St-Denis (Bernard), David Lafave (Elaine) and Linda Lafave (Dan); his grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie), Amanda (Gabe), Samantha and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Nicholas, Vivica, Sylar, Noah, Colbie and Collin; and his sisters, Audrey Russell (Bill) and JoAnn Lafave Shorey (Phil).
