He was predeceased by: his parent James Flaro; his brother Leonard; his wife Marilyn Sorbie Flaro; and also Stevens. He is survived by: his parent Dorothy Flaro; his brother Harold (Beth); his sister-in-law Agnes Flaro; his sons, Mark Flaro (Ruth), Bob Flaro (Cynthia Garland), Jeff Flaro (Lee) and Gisele Flaro; his grandchildren, Derek, Krista, Allie, Chandler, Chelsea, Sidney, Avery, Hayden, Kaleb and Jemma; his child Karrie Sweeney; and his wife Lorna McKendry Flaro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial gift donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
