He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Grant and Katherine Grant; and his brothers, Robert Grant, Neil "Bud" Grant, Garry Grant, William "Billy" Grant and Cameron Grant.
He is survived by: his children, Graham Grant (Susan) and Heather Grant; and his grandchildren, Hilary (Troy) and Andrea (Devyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In 1996 he was inducted into the Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame for his contribution to Cornwall's hockey community.
