He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Thompson; his parents, Arthur Thompson and Lilian Hazel Thompson; and his siblings, Chester Thompson and Betty Greffe.

He is survived by: his children, Michael, Karen Fusee, Trish (Liam) and Shawn (Shendah); his grandchildren, Maddie, Nigel, Sydnee and Spencer; and his brother Garry Thompson.
