He was predeceased by: his son Kevin Handy (Lisa); his siblings, Doris and Collin; and his parents, Leslie Handy and Jessie Handy.

He is survived by: his spouse Hennie Handy; his children, Jeff Handy, Karen Murray (late Warren) and Heather Mason (Scott); his grandchildren, Kyle, Tracy, Allysha, Tommy, Josh, Mathew, Jessie, Cole, Travis and Meagan; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Audrey and Dakota; and his sister Muriel Bray.
