He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smith and Vera Smith; and his siblings, Donald, Eric, Margaret Hambleton and Florence Freeman (Jim).
He is survived by: his wife Micheline Bergeron; his children, Veronique Bergeron (Shane) and Julien Bergeron (Julia); his grandchildren, Mason and Cooper Levac; and his siblings, Ken (late Joan), Gerald (Marjorie), Harold (Patricia), Stuart (Lorraine), Stephen (Faye), Shirley White, Verna MacDonald (Fred) and Linda Martin (Gordon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
