She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Fortier; her parents, Leo Laponsee and Janet Laponsee; her siblings, Mavis, Connie, John, George and Arthur; and her brothers-in-law, Roy Baker, William Barnhart and Michael Delaney.

She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Holden (Henry) of Cornwall and Michel Fortier of Cornwall; her grandchildren, Dylan of Cornwall, James Jackson of Cornwall and Stephanie (Derick Cormier) of Cornwall; her siblings, Danny Laponsee (Sue) of Cornwall, Leo Laponsee of Cornwall, Sybil Lalonde of Cornwall, Frances Pitre (Frank) of Cornwall and Janet Delaney of Cornwall; her sisters-in-law, Lyn and Shirley; and her parents-in-law, Jeanine and Bill Watters of Brockville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
