He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander and Margaret McDonell; his significant other Huguette; and his brother Christopher McDonell (Cheryl). He is survived by: his children, John McDonell (Mari) and Sonya Julien (Claude); his stepchildren, Leonard Landriault and Lynne Kryhul (Kelly); his grandchildren, Isabel and William; and his siblings, Mary Frances DeRochie (late Gerald) and Bernard McDonell (late Helen).
