He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Valerie David of Ingleside, ON; his children, Andrew Steel of Quebec City, QC and Mackenzie Steel of Pointe Claire, QC; his stepchildren, Emily Bissonnette (Justin) of Long Sault, ON and Andrea David of Cornwall, ON; his grandchildren, Kaylin Steel, Sophia-Rose and Sterling Bissonnette; his siblings, Vic Steel of Summerville, SC, Beth MacRae (Rob) of Mallorytown, ON, Barb Wilde (late Robin) of Kingston, ON, Brian Michell (Sue) of Burlington, ON and Robert Michell (Jane) of Corunna; and his parents, William Steel and Olive Michell.
