He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Burke; his daughters, Nicole (Stephen Greer) and Rachel (Chris Dewar); his grandchildren, Adam (Jeanianne), Eve, Ethan and JT; his mother Mary Anthis; his sister Rebecca (Mike Ackerman); his stepfather George Anthis; his brother Richard Burke; and his aunt Mary Burke. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
