He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wissell and Rosa Wissell; his wife Jacqueline Whissell; his son Jacques Whissell; and his siblings, Raoul (Ray), Ovide (Pauline), Eglantine (Armand Poulin), Gerald (Alma), Roland, Rodolphe (Marcelle), Jean-D'Arc (Al Specht) and Richard (Brenda).
He is survived by: his children, Liliane Fantin (late Joseph), Jeannine McDonald (Bruce), Paul (Karen Rinta) and Pierre (Carole Herard); his grandchildren, Dr. Natalie McDonald (Todd Patterson), Stacey McDonald (Cory Gould), Dr. Mathieu Fantin (Mijanou Gaboury-Fantin), Melina Whissell, Nicholas Whissell, Payton Whissell, Max Whissell and Madison Whissell; his great grandchildren, Reese Patterson, Nolan Patterson, Arianne Fantin, Gabrielle Fantin, Gabriel Gould and Dominic Gould; and his siblings, Jeannette Brisson (late Lionel "Joe"), Agnes Lafreniere (late Gilbert) and Claude Wissell (late Claudette). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elgin St. Mission (Sudbury) would be appreciated.
