He was predeceased by: his wife Helen VanDeven; and his parents, Gerardus VanDeven and Justina VanDeven. He is survived by: his children, Tressa Galbraith (Matthew), Berton Galbraith (Rae), Tom VanDeven (Tina), Jason VanDeven (Jennah) and Amanda Rietdyk (Jared); his grandchildren, Ethan, Tate, Madelyn, Landon, Kayla, Jaxon, Jerek and Emersyn; his siblings, Lucy (Mike), Tony, Gerry (Kim), Ron and Judy (Joe); and his pet Boomer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
