He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Mellow; his parents, Lorne Mellow and Irene Mellow (Copeman); his sister Linda Kelly (late Stan); and his siblings-in-law, Jean Arthurs (Art), Joyce Mellow (late Murray) and Marlene (Bill Roach).

He is survived by: his children, Duane Mellow (Carol), Sheryl Gallagher (Stephen), Roger and Randy Mellow (Cindy); his grandchildren, Michael Mellow, Jeremy Gallagher, Loren Gallagher, Ryan Mellow (Jenn), Adam Mellow (Stacey Van Grinsven), Trevor Mellow (Vanessa), Jared Mellow (Alyson Hodgson) and Kristyn Mellow; his great grandchildren, Kendra, Emilie, Ruby, Lucy, Blair, Avery and Cassidy; and his siblings, Edith (late Don), Benge (late Bert Renaud) and Marlene Langs (late Larry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
