He was predeceased by: his siblings, Yvonne Sylvester (late Fred), Louis (Jeannette) and John (late Frances); and his siblings-in-law, Roland Gagnier (late Christine), Egile Gagnier (Jeanette), Ilene Pinsonneault (late Bernard), Yvonne Trudelle (late Barnie) and Jean Gagnier (late Betty).

He is survived by: his wife Eleonore; his daughters, Annette Diemer (Les), Madeline Laporte (Roger) and Lorie Masse; his siblings, Adelard (Maryanne), George (Helen) and Bernard (late Louise); and his siblings-in-law, Lorrette Brown (late Melvin), Carmelle Monforton (late Leo), Bernadette Cartier (late Wilfred), Henry Gagnier (late Edna), Charles Gagnier and Sylvain Gagnier (Mary Ann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
