He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Michelle; his son Connor Derikx; his parents, Bert Derikx and Margie Derikx; his brothers, Joe (Julie), Steve (Mara) and Brian (Wanda); his parents-in-law, Gerald and Jackie Mousseau; his brothers-in-law, Gary Mousseau (Yvette) and Dennis Mousseau; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda Ruel (Dillon), Kara Robert (Keith), Alyssa, Ryan, Evan, Alexa, Ethan Derikx, Alexis Stiegler (Josh), Karley and Eric Mousseau. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery or Visitation Parish Church Capital Fund appreciated.
