He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mackay and Zelma Mackay; and his parents-in-law, Edward and Harriet Desmarais John. He is survived by: his wife Thérèse; his children, Shawn, Shelley Mackay, Jackie and Kyle Klassen; his grandchildren, Karissa, Faith, Makayla, Joel and Brynn; his siblings, Beth, Wendy, Tom Watters, Constance Bay, Ingrid, Saskatoon, Rodney and Nancy Mackay; and his siblings-in-law, Annette Robert, Br. Paul Desmarais S. J and Zambia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
