He was predeceased by: his significant other Peggy; his son Travis Miller; and his sister Sherry. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Neil, Donald Boxall-Varley (Bobbie-Jo), Candace Varley (Teddy), Melisha Neil (Ali), Shaneisha Hazelwood-Neil, Ayla West-Neil and Aliyah West-Neil; his grandchildren, Kyle, Dominic, Nadia, Amika, Aislynn, Clayton and Zayne; his great grandchildren, Kyrie and Zyon; his parents, Ben Varley and June Varley; and his siblings, David, Paul and Cheryl.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fawcett Funeral Homes - Collingwood Chapel (82 Pine St, Collingwood, ON L9Y2N7). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Ron's memory.
