He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean; and his brother Don (Brenda). He is survived by: his children, Darren, Shelly Gervais (Steve) and Bradley (Kim); his grandchildren, Alicia, Kaiden and Olivia; and his siblings, Fred (late Noreen), Denny (Mary), Millie Patterson (late Al), Sylvia Henson (Walter), Sally Patten (Harvey) and Rod (Brenda). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
