He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Burnet and Curly Burnet; and his brother Ron Scott. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Currie; his children, Chris, Sara, Mike, Shelly, Jeff and Emily; his grandchildren, David, Willa, Jack, Sam, Avery and Liam; and his siblings, Bob (Lucy Currie), Diane and Stephen (Joanne Conklin).
