He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Christie (Smart) and Alwyn Christie; his brother Edward; his sister-in-law Diane; and his pet Rusty.
He is survived by: his wife Katie (Bell); his children, Stephen (Jennifer Huycke), Cathy, Liz and Trish (Dan More); his grandchildren, Maggie, Tessa, William Christie and Thomas; his brother George; and his sister-in-law Fran.
