He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife June Jacqueline Crookes; his children, Brian Douglas Crookes (Linda) and Deborah Anne Rogers; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Christine Rogers (Colin James), Jason James Douglas Rogers (Brittany), Shannon Kathleen Crookes and Lyndsay Patricia Money (Dave); his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Odin, Keira, Mia James and McKenna Nicholson; and his sister Betty Knowles (late Jack).
