He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriett Jean and William James Burtch; and his siblings, Beverly Burtch, Dolores Breen, Florine McLean, Joan McArthur, Carol Antonia and Donna Reekie.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin (Susan) and Kelly Murphy (Brad); his grandchildren, Kenney (Katie), Austin, Marshall, Alexandra (Jordan) and Ryan; his siblings, Helen Burtch and Wayne Burtch; his brother-in-law Wayne Donnelly; and his former wife Gail LaBerge. He is also survived by Uncle.
