She was predeceased by: her husband Donald; her son Richard Mercer; her parents, Alfred Hawkins and Ann Hawkins (Bradley); and her siblings, Jimmy Hawkins and Dorothy Fraser.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Jefferies (Tom) of Stittsville and Wayne Mercer (Joan) of Milton; and her child-in-law Jamie of Courtice. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 protocols Ethel will be cremated and a family service will be held.
