He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Cairns (Cindy); and his brother James. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Cairns; his sons, William Cairns (Lori) and Andrew Cairns (Kelly); his siblings, Bert, Frances, Bertha and David; and his pets, Tilly and Lucy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allison Funeral Home (103 Mill St N, Port Hope, ON L1A2T3). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Port Hope Union Cemetery (114 Toronto Rd, Port Hope, ON L1A3S5).
