He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Irwir Blackwell and Honour Patricia Blackwell; and his siblings, Jonny (Diane), Reginal (Kay) and Cecile.

He is survived by: his former wife Florence Doiron; his children, Joyce (Mike), Richard (Darleen), Suzanne (Denis), David (Karen), Tina (Scott), Kevin (Tina) and Nancy (Joe); and his brothers, Tom (Rita) and Bill (Cecile). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Association and would be greatly appreciated.
