He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bethy Ranney (late Paul) and Jim (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Burt (late Georgette), Brian Burt (late Eleanor Hart) and Doug Burt (Joyce).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Steven (Brenda), Jamie (Kathy Palko), Tim (Jennifer) and Joe (Nancy); his grandchildren, Lewis (Deniz Yildrim), Patrick, Catherine, Tina (Aaron Philipp-Muller), Ali and Christopher; and his brother Alan (Ethel). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.

Donations to YMCA Strong Kids, Cobourg Ecology Garden or Trinity United Church would be appreciated.
