Peacefully at her home in Cobourg on Friday, September 8th, 2023, Virginia "Hootie" Reymes at 75 years of age. Daughter of the late Jack Reymes and the late Beverly Barnes Reymes. Beloved mother of Graeme Emerson Burke (Karen). Cherished grandmother of Emma and Owen. Dear sister of Jane Goody, (the late Bob Goody) John Reymes (Teresa) and Robert Reymes. Loving Aunt of Lydia Stronghill, Eric Goody, the late Shane Reymes, Kerrie Bassett (Kurt) and Jennifer Reymes (Richard Landry). At Virginia's request, there will be cremation without services. A Celebration Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 16th, from 1 to 4:30 pm at the Common Room of St. Peter's Court (not in St. Peter's Church). Those wishing may make a memorial donation to Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre, 40 Swayne St., Cobourg, ON. K9A 1K5, Cornerstonenorthumberland.ca.
