He was predeceased by: his parents, Pietro Ortis and Elena Ortis. He is survived by: his children, Michael Ortis (Julie), Rachel Ortis (Phil Da Silva) and Mary; his grandchildren, Katie, David, Brooklynn, Marissa, Nickolas and Colton; and his brothers, Frank (Nancy) and Danny (Dian). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, friends, and large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
