She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Hutchinson and Verna Hutchinson; her sister Valda (John); and her daughter Janet Turner. She is survived by: her sisters, Bonnie (Hayden) and Anita (Bill); her children, Stephen Turner (Anne), Kim Turner (Doug), Lisa Olson (John), Christine Scott (Peter) and Nancy Turner; and her stepchild Tracey Vanlaere. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews great- nieces and great- nephews.

Donations in memory of Joan may be either the Brain Injury Canada or Diabetes Canada.
