He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Rutherford; his grandson Alex; and his siblings, Sandy Rutherford, Onie Myles and Bettie Peacock.

He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Katrina), Brenda (Mike) and Jack Rutherford (Kathy); his grandchildren, Carolyn (Tyler), Clayton, Jenny, Mike (Brooke), Steve, Naomi (Jason) and Jackson; his great grandchildren, Myla, Jack and Clyde; his siblings, Jean Taplin and Billie Kemp; and his parents-in-law, Lois Atkins and George Gillings (Rosie). He is also survived by extended family and countless friends.
