Irene Jacqueline (Proulx) Campbell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Jacqueline (Proulx) Campbell on Monday, August 9, 2021 in her 91st year at the Northumberland Hills Hospital. Irene was born in Iroquois Falls (Montrock), Ontario on January 10, 1931 to Andre & Evelina (Chevrier) Proulx. She married Clinton Wellman Campbell on July 21, 1952 and they raised 9 children. Clinton preceded Irene in death on February 6, 2006 and she has missed him dearly.
Irene is survived by her children Dennis, Judy (David) Austin, Joanne (Jim) Lee, John, Sherry, Todd (Marleen), and Gary (Christina Miller). Also survived by 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, her only remaining sibling and his wife, Victor (Claire) Proulx, son-in-law Keltie Jones (late Ric) and her two sisters-in-law Therese (late Fernand) Proulx and Monique (late Roger) Proulx, as well as many, many nieces and nephews.
Besides her beloved husband and her parents, Irene was also predeceased by two much loved and missed sons, Ric Campbell and Bob Campbell, one grandson, Scott Smith, all of her other siblings and their spouses, Anna (late George) Regimbal, Rene (late Cecile) Proulx, Marguerite (late Zotique) Regimbal, Denis (late Rolande) Proulx, Therese (late Leo) Gauthier, Fernand Proulx, Roger Proulx, & Lorraine (late Edouard) Lance; plus two little sisters who died in infancy.
We love you mom; Till we meet again.
A celebration of Irene's life will take place at Port Hope Union Cemetery on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM. RSVP Only as Covid rules apply.
