He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gustav and Maria; his sister Feli (late Al Weiss); his nephew Klaus; his brothers, Johannes (Maria) and Klaus (Alana); his former wife Nellie Oukes; his stepchildren, Dina Kilby (Dave Martin) and Markus (Susan Vanderwindt); his wife Rosalind Henderson; and his grandchildren, Zachary (Sarah), Carissa (Matt) and Colby.

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest a donation to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre in Cobourg.
