He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Annette; his children, Dave Ashfield (Kim Hook), Kevin Ashfield (Anne Vavra) and Denise Ashfield (Mike Horsely); his grandchildren, Tyler Ashfield (Celine Benoit), Michael Ashfield (Nicole) and Kassandra Ashfield (Liam Hadden); his parents, William Ashfield and Elsie Mae Ashfield; and his siblings, Bill, John, Jessie, Dorothy, Elsie and Nancy (Roger Friend). He was also cherished by his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
