She was predeceased by: her daughter S. Diane Prentice; her sister Carol Doucette (Laura Hanna); her parents, William Mellis and Mary MacLachlan-Mellis; and her husband Lawrence Chant.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Koen, Klara, Damian, Danielle, Jules, Cash and Drew; and her siblings, Mary Field, Heather Mellis, Evelyn "Kitty" Lipa, William Mellis and Murray Mellis (Gwenyth). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
