She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Bowman; her parents, William Albert "Bert" McKinlay and Edith McMann; her stepmother Gaye McKinlay (Mott); and her brother Ross McKinlay (Grace).

She is survived by: her children, Earl Bowman (Marlene), Gary Bowman (Nancy) and Shirley Basinger (late Tom Basinger); her stepson Arnold Bowman (June); and her grandchildren, Lindsay Clow (Ron), Michael Bowman, Sarah Bowman (Dave), Erin Filman (Shaun), Amy Skinner (Kevin), Kimberly Sitarski (Brandon), Angela Weatherhead (Michael), Marjorie Bowman (late Paul) and John Bowman (Laurie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
