He was predeceased by: his spouse Eleanor; and his sibling Betty Tapscott. He is survived by: his children, Debra Lewis (Tom), Susan Shannon (Bill) and Robert Harnden (Lorraine); his grandchildren, Tom Lewis (Shannon), Melissa Littlechild (Chris), Amy Ludolph (Dave), Ashley Roth (Matt), Jenna Mills (Mark) and Seth Harnden (Emily); and his sibling Marilyn Stevenson.
