He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Drynan and Susan Drynan; and his sister Gladys Leech (late Sam). He is survived by: his wife Mildred; his children, Gail (late Melvin Maxwell) and Sherry; and his siblings-in-law, Eileen Fick (late Basil), Herbert Tiegs (Edith), Elsolene Hoffman (Don) and Mary Adair. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
