We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2021, at the age of 94, Albert Chitaroni (Cobalt, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Albert Chitaroni to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his brothers, Carlo, Pep and Elio; and his significant other Carol Chitaroni. He is survived by: his children, Gino Chitaroni, Nina Chamaillard and Mario Chitaroni (Katrin); and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Jacqueline Chamaillard, Dean and Tara Chitaroni.

Due to COVID restrictions, a Facebook live stream will be available by Buffam Leveille Funeral Home for friends and family to take part in.

As expressions of sympathy and in keeping with Albert's wishes donations to the Cobalt Mining Museum would be appreciated.

“I wish to express my condolences to the Family and our community for he will surely be missed. It was always a delight to meet Albert as he drove around sharing treats with those he met. I served with Albert on Coleman Municipal Council . I learned then that Albert had deep within him a desire to help others. As a result our service on Council was one of meeting the needs of it’s citizens. Albert wherever he went, was a proponent of Cobalt Mining History thru mining artifact displays.”
