She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey William Garniss; her parents, Russell Robertson and Hazel Robertson; and her siblings, Leonard, Eleanor, Greta, Florence and Lorraine.

She is survived by: her children, Gina, Rick Shropshall of Clinton, Roger Garniss, Ilona Luther of Goderich, Gary, Judy Garniss of Goderich, Dianne Garniss of Hamilton, Jim, Julie Stinson of Hamilton, Heather and Paul Wick of Grande Prairie; and her stepdaughters, Sue Riley of Hensall and Joanne Thompson of London. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
