He was predeceased by: his brother Albert. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; and his children, John Vanderwal (Melodie), Arlene Van Maar (Fred), Gail Vanderwal (Ron Stengler), Wayne Vanderwal and Dave Vanderwal (Robyn).
