She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Young and Mary Alice Carbert; her daughters, Katherine and Janet Bridgewater; her sisters, Dorothy Cameron and Rita Arthur; and her husband Nicholas Birkengren.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Drummond (James), Brian Bridgwater (Jean) and Patricia Walsh (Michael). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
