He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne (Benninger) and Wally Chalmers. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Christine, Brad Knight of Mitchell, Dwight, Pam Chalmers of Blyth, Darryl, Lynn Chalmers, Michael, Kim Chalmers and Caledonia; and his siblings, Richard Chalmers, Mary Louise, Ken Phillips and Gail Chalmers. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
