He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amy St; his siblings, Minnie Sjaarda, Grace Bakker and Kurt Stryker; and his siblings-in-law, Cora Stryker, John Bakker and John Duimering.

He is survived by: his spouse Janet Stryker (Duimering); his children, John, Joanne, Richard, Roger (Jeanette Sears) and Ingrid Stryker; his grandchildren, Lewis (Ava), Jason (Shawna), Oliver, Marije, Anneke, Karsten, Josh (Cheryl) and Jordan; his sibling Henry Stryker; and his siblings-in-law, George Sjaarda, Corrie Stryker, Simon, Rita Frankruiter, Bill, Louise Duimering, Martin, Grace Duimering, Harry and Luang Duimering. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
