He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Hatcher (Crewe) and William Hatcher; his daughter Sonia Hatcher; and his siblings, Bill Hatcher (Armeral), Lillian Dicks (Richard), Phyllis Pearcey (Ed), Donald Hatcher (Patricia) and Olive Hatcher.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Hatcher (Drager); his children, Gail Jenkinson (Rick), Gary Hatcher (Debbie) and Brenda Dawson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Flynn, Nicole Miller (Joe), Rick, Brian, Steven, Jason, Sabrina, Aimee, Gregory, Geoffrey, Tyler, Kaelin, Kai and Cameron; and his sister Laura Hoggart (Gordon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
