He was predeceased by: his parents, Morley and Jennie; his son Beverly; his former wife Beatrice; his daughter-in-law Sandra Smith; and his brothers, Milton, Jack (Pauline) and Jim (Norma).

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Kathy Smith, Larry Smith (Alanna), Steven Smith, Jeffrey Smith (Caroline), Cheryl Donais (Ken), Wendy Dewaele (Larry), Debra Walters (Frank), Pamela Weinberger (Rob), Perry Miller, Colby Miller (Sandy) and Troy Miller (Lisa); his siblings, Norman Smith (Sheila) and Marilyn Carter (Bill); and his sister-in-law Doreen Smith. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the Smith family.
