He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Braun and Katharine Braun; and his sister-in-law Eleanor White. He is survived by: his spouse Anita Braun; his children, Paul Braun (Michelle DeBeyer) of Waterloo, Dale Braun (Melissa Donohoe) of Vancouver and Karen Williamson (Jeff) of Harriston; his grandchildren, Paige, Lea, Chloe Braun, Josh and Claire Williamson; his sibling Marleen Ransom; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce, Jane Lytle, Howard White, Wayne, Sandra Lytle, Lyall and Patricia Lytle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
