He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Butler and Rejeanne Butler; and his siblings, Gerald, Andre, Donald and Lorraine Diotte.

He is survived by: his wife Lorena "Lorrie"; his children, Carol Orza (Kerry) of Cranbrook, Paul (Kim) of Cranbrook and Sandra Juhasz (Kevin) of Okotoks, AB; his siblings, George (Jeannie) of Hammond, ON, Pat Butler (Hugette) of Clarence Creek, ON, Reina Cusson (Lucien) of Hammond, ON and Pauline Cle; his sisters-in-law, Colette and Aline; and also, Emily, Adam, Jerrid, Nicholas, Curtis and Ashley.
