He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton "Tip" Merkley and Anna Merkley; and his sister Karen Fisher. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Merkley; his children, Glen (Crystal) of Chesterville and Kristi Dick (John) of Peterborough; his siblings, Doug Merkley (Sue) of Winchester, Gordon Merkley (late Holly) of Chesterville, Nancy Carruthers (Carman) of Chesterville, Billy Merkley of Osgoode and Philip Merkley (late Erma) of Chesterville; his grandchildren, Autumn, Megan and McKayla; and his great grandchildren, Evelynn and Lincoln. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
