He was predeceased by: his daughter Carolyn Dirven-Jarvis; and his parents, Bernardus Dirven and Maria Lambregts. He is survived by: his spouse Jo-anne; his children, Anne Hobbs, Berny Dirven (Carol), Marion Hakvoort (Arnie), Frances and Dunnen (George); his grandchildren, Daniel, Rachel, Tanya, Kim, Nick, Rebecca, Devon, Rodney, Selena, Aimee and Corey; his great grandchildren, Madeleine, Rowan, Marly, Totreona, Griffin, Morgan, Abby, Charlie, Izzy, Addy and Nick; and his siblings, Cor and Riet.
